For the first round of the game, depending on the rummy variation, each player is dealt a set number of cards. Starting with the top card turned face-up, the remaining cards form a face-sattaking chart 2024down draw pile, & the discard pile begins. Tossing one card from their hand, each player takes a turn drawing a card from the draw or discard pile. Until a player successfully forms sets and runs to be out, or until the draw pile runs out & no more moves are possible, this process is repeated. Prudent preparation and strategic thought are necessary for winning at rummy.
