Ian Cohen has cashed more than 60 events at the Harrah's Pompano Beach property going back to 2016, back into the time when the property was still called The Isle.
However, of all the days he has spent in Pompano Beach pushing chips and raking pots, Monday, October 22 is the day Cohen is most likely to remember. This was the day he won his first World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) ring, taking down the WSOPC Harrahs Pompano Beach $1,700 Main Event for $193,100, by far his biggest score yet.
Ian Cohen Wins The Main Event
The WSOPC spent the time from October 10 to October 21 putting on 20 ring events at Harrah's Pompano Beach. Of these events, the Main Event was the most prestigious.
The Main Event drew a field of 721 players, the third-highest turnout of the series after the Mini Main (1,177 entries) and Monster Stack (999 entries). At $1,700 per head, the Main Event had a post-rake prize pool of $1,092,315 of which $193,100 was put aside for first place.
After three Day 1 flights, the fields combined on Day 2 to play down to the final table.
Day 3 started with the final eight players returning to the poker room with Cohen in the chip lead. Cohen was able to maintain that chip lead, going into heads up play a massive chip lead over his opponent, Josh Hillock.
Cohen then used his chip lead to flatten Hillock over the course of heads up play. By the final hand, Hillock had just two big blinds to gamble with and lose. He took home $128,728 for his second-place finish, tipping his total live cashes into seven figures for the first time.

Matt Glantz, Bin Weng Win Rings

Among the other players to claim a ring at the WSOP Circuit Harrah's Pompano Beach, were several worth noting.
Matt Glantz won the Seniors Event for $18,822. With more than $8 million in live cashes to his name, the ring is more likely to move him than the payday as this is Glantz's first WSOPC victory since 2006.
Meanwhile, Bin Weng took down Event #14: $400 No-Limit Hold'em for $11,988. Weng has $9 million live cashes accumulated across a wide range of buy ins.

Despite regular appearances on the high-roller circuit, you can still frequently see Weng crushing in low-stakes events like this.
In fact, Weng even managed to final table another event at the WSOPC Harrah's Pompano Beach, coming 5th for $3,797 in Event #15: $600 No-Limit Hold'em.
The next event on the WSOPC calendar is the WSOPC Caesars Southern Indiana which started on October 17 and runs until October 24.
After that, the WSOPC Harveys Lake Tahoe kicks off in a couple days time on October 24. The Lake Tahoe event is followed on October 30 by the WSOPC Choctaw.

- Players can increase their chances of winning by making more strategic discards while keeping in mind both their own and their opponents' needs. Jokers & wild cards are essential in Rummy Gold 51 because they give players special chances to finish sets and melds. These adaptable cards are extremely valuable assets during gameplay because they can be used in place of any other card to form valid combinations. Players should try to use jokers in their hardest melds first, ones that would be hard to finish without them, in order to make the most of them. A player's hand can be strengthened by this tactical application, which also keeps opponents off-balance regarding their possible moves. 25-06-03
- A key component of Rummy Gold 51 that calls for careful thought and strategy is discarding. In order to maximize their own hand and reduce their opponents' chances of creating melds, players must find a balance. A crucial piece of advice is to observe which cards your opponents are selecting from the discard pile. An opponent may be on the verge of integrating those cards into a meld if they routinely pick up particular ranks or suits. 25-06-03

Another way to minimize risk and maximize enjoyment is to establish a budget for how much of the bonus will be used in each session. Also, players should think about utilizing any extra Rummy loyalty programs or promotions. They can prolong their gameplay & raise their chances of winning without having to make additional financial investments by stacking bonuses or rewards. 25-06-03

- If a player makes a declaration too soon, they may not have enough valid melds to protect themselves, and if they wait too long, they may lose out on opportunities as opponents get closer to their own declarations. Declaring when you have at least two or three strong melds formed, along with a few extra cards that are simple to incorporate into new melds, is a good general rule. When choosing whether to declare, players should also take the current state of play into account. It could be prudent to declare sooner rather than later if opponents seem to be getting close to finishing their hands or if they have been regularly selecting particular cards from the discard pile. 25-06-03
- There are numerous advantages to using real money to play Winner Slots that improve the overall gaming experience. The chance to win actual cash prizes is among the biggest benefits. At Winner Slots, players can place real bets and possibly win large sums of money, in contrast to free-to-play slot games that don't pay out. Because every spin could result in a sizable payout, this feature gives players an additional sense of excitement & motivation. 25-06-03
- Rummy Gold 51 is all about building melds and sets, and having good strategies in place can significantly increase a player's chances of winning. Prioritizing the formation of sequences over sets whenever feasible is one basic strategy. Usually simpler to finish than sets of three or four cards of the same rank, sequences are made up of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit. Players can increase the flexibility of their combinations and increase their adaptability as new cards are drawn by concentrating on sequences. Holding onto high-value cards until they can be combined to form a set or sequence is another successful tactic. 25-06-03
