Episode 10 of High Stakes PokerSeason 13 aired Monday night on PokerGO, and it was a continuation of the $500/$1,000 no-limit hold’em cash game from recent weeks at PokerGO Studio featuring Andrew Robl, Jennifer Tilly, Stanley Tang, Brandon Steven, Justin Gavri, Humboldt Mike, and Nik Airball.
Sameh Elamawy, the billionaire CEO of Scratch, was also back and fresh off an episode where he made one of the most epic bluffs in the iconic poker show's history.
Here’s how the chip stacks looked at the top of the episode:
Player | Chip Stack |
---|---|
Sameh Elamawy | $803,000 |
Brandon Steven | $767,500 |
Andrew Robl | $688,500 |
Jennifer Tilly | $309,500 |
Stanley Tang | $297,500 |
Justin Gavri | $288,000 |
Nik Airball | $274,500 |
Humboldt Mike | $220,500 |
Robl Has Bad Intentions in First Hand
In the first hand of the broadcast, the straddle was on when Robl looked down at the J♣J♠and raised to $5,000. Elamawy called with the A♠10♣and then Gavri popped it to $30,000 with the A♣K♣. Robl called, Elamawy folded, and it was heads-up to a flop of 8♣7♥5♣.
Gavri continued for $20,000 with his flush draw and Robl called with the overpair. When the 6♣hit the turn and gave Gavri his flush, he coyly checked and Robl tossed out a pair of $25K chips.
“He is throwing a couple of cranberries into the Abyss,” commentator Nick Schulman quipped.
Gavri called and then checked the 2♣river. Robl checked behind and Gavri pulled in a $207,500 pot.
“You probably got super unlucky on the river there,” Robl claimed, implying had it not been a fourth club he’d have bet big. “I had bad intentions.”
Gavri Sets Up Humboldt Mike

The straddle was on again when Tang raised to $5,000 with the A♠A♥and Elamawy called holding the J♠10♠. Humboldt Mike just called with the 10♥10♣, Gavri did the same with the 6♥6♦, and Steven was priced in to call from the straddle with the K♠5♠to make it five-way action to a flop of 6♠7♦3♦.
Gavri and Steven checked before Tang continued for $8,000, which Elamawy called before Humboldt Mike kicked it up to $26,000. Gavri just called with middle set and Steven got out of the way. Tang released his pocket rockets, Elamawy folded, and it was heads-up to the 9♣turn.
With $94,500 in the pot, Gavri checked and Humboldt Mike bet $54,000. Gavri woke up with an all-in check-raise and Humboldt Mike thought for a bit before calling off the $136,000 he had behind to create a pot worth $473,500.
The duo agreed to run it twice but neither the 9♠river on the first nor K♣on the second helped Humboldt Mike and he reloaded for $200,000.
Humboldt Mike Strikes Back
Steven was first to act and made it $5,000 with the 5♠5♦and he received four callers including Humboldt Mike with the A♥10♦and Tang with the Q♦10♠. The 10♥10♣A♠flop had action written all over it as Humboldt Mike flopped a full house and Tang had the other ten, but surprisingly it checked around to the 7♦turn.
Two checks saw Tang bet $15,000 and Humboldt Mike just called. Everyone else got out of the way and the 3♣completed the board on the river. Tang bet again, this time $50,000, and Humboldt Mike took his time before moving all in.
Tang had $144,000 behind and thought for a bit before calling off. Just like that, Humboldt Mike was back in it by winning a pot of $455,500.

Humboldt Mike vs. Brandon Steven
Humboldt Mike raised to $6,000 from the cutoff and Tilly called from the button with the 3♠3♦. Steven then three-bet to $27,000 from the straddle holding the A♦Q♦, Humboldt Mike four-bet to $81,000, and Tilly folded her pocket pair.
Steven took his time before calling and there was $170,500 in the pot headed to a flop of 8♠8♣5♥. Steven checked and then folded when Humboldt Mike continued for $64,000.
Tilly vs. Steven in “Fair Fight”

Tilly raised to $6,000 from the cutoff with the Q♠Q♦and Steven three-bet to $23,000 from the big blind with the A♠K♣. Tilly four-bet to $81,000, Steven instantly went all in, and Tilly wasted no time in calling off for $298,000 to create a pot of $599,500.
“Fair fight,” said Steven.
The two agreed to run it twice and the first went to Steven when it ran out J♣4♠K♥J♦7♣.
“I hope we chop, I really do,” Steven offered.
“I hope so too,” responded Tilly, which elicited some laughs.
Unfortunately for her, the second board ran out 2♠K♠5♦A♦3♣and Steven scooped.
“Good night, everybody,” Tilly said bowing out of the game.
Tang Gets Paid to the Max by Humboldt Mike

Elamawy straddled for $2,000 and Humboldt Mike double straddled to $4,000. Tang called from the small blind with the J♣9♣and Elamawy did the same from the big with the 10♣4♣. Humboldt Mike then exercised his option with a raised to $19,000 with the A♥7♥and both his opponents called.
On the 3♠8♥7♦flop, two checks put action on Humboldt Mike and he continued for $36,000. Tang called with a gutshot straight draw and Elamawy folded. The J♦turn paired Tang to give him the lead and he checked to Humboldt Mike, who checked it back.
The J♥river improved Tang to trip jacks and he checked again. Humboldt Mike, who had been prone to go for thin value, bet $82,000 and Tang sprung to life by check-jamming all in for $149,000 total.
Humboldt Mike hemmed and hawed for a bit before calling the additional $82,000 only to see Tang roll over his jack and lay claim to the $429,000 pot.
Massive Pot to End the Night

Elamawy called $4,000 with the 8♦8♥and Steven called $2,000 from the first straddle with the J♦3♦. Tang then made it $25,000 from the second straddle with the 10♥10♦, Elamawy called, and Steven folded.
The 7♠9♣10♠flop saw Tang bet $35,000 with top set and Elamawy, who flopped an up-and-down straight draw, raised to $175,000. Tang instantly moved all in for $355,000 and Elamawy called just as quickly.
With $765,500 in the pot, the two ran it twice with the 2♠turn and 3♠river on the first giving Tang half the pot. The J♣turn on the second gave Elamawy the lead with a straight, but it was only temporary as the 9♦paired the board on the river to fill up Tang.
Stacks at the End
Player | Chip Stack |
---|---|
Andrew Robl | $1,165,500 |
Brandon Steven | $1,110,000 |
Stanley Tang | $649,500 |
Justin Gavri | $622,500 |
Sameh Elamawy | $511,000 |
Nik Airball | $424,000 |
Humboldt Mike | $266,500 |
