PokerStars has revealed the dates for the 2025 Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP). The 2025 edition of SCOOP kicks off on May 11 and runs through to June 2. Although PokerStars is currently working around the clock finalizing the schedule, here is what you should expect from the 2025 PokerStars SCOOP.

More Than 100 SCOOP Events

Previous SCOOP schedules have featured more than 100 numbered events, so the 2025 SCOOP schedule should be no different. Expect almost all the numbered events to have a Low, Medium, and High buy-in version, with some also catering to the Super High Rollers among you.

The 2024 SCOOP boasted 128 events with buy-ins ranging from $2.20 to $25,000 and combined guarantees of $75 million. The 2025 SCOOP is two days shorter than last year, but once the finalized schedule is released, you should still see more than 100 events.

Since its launch in 2009, PokerStars has hosted 3,300 tournaments across 1,101 events and awarded more than $1.415 billion. That impressive sum should be nearer $1.5 billion by the time the last 2025 SCOOP champion is crowned on June 2.

What Formats and Variants Will Be on the 2025 SCOOP Schedule?

PokerStars prides itself on building a SCOOP schedule that puts players to the ultimate test. No-Limit Hold'em tournaments will likely dominate proceedings; it is, after all, the world's most popular poker variant.

Based on previous SCOOPs, there should be ample opportunities to battle it out across Pot-Limit Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Stud, H.O.R.S.E., 8-Game, 2-7 Single Draw, 2-7 Triple Draw, and even Badugi. You should expect these variants to come with fixed, pot, and no-limit betting structures.

As for the tournament variants, you are bound to see traditional freezeout and re-entry tournaments, bounty builder and PKO events, and a sprinkling of mystery bounties. PokerNewswould not be surprised to see a big buy-in, big guaranteed mystery bounty tournament somewhere on the schedule.

Massive 2025 SCOOP Main Events

Although every SCOOP event garners the poker community's attention, it is the No-Limit Hold'em Main Events that every PokerStars player wants to win. We should see a $109, $1,050, and $10,300 Main Event on the schedule; the trio of Main Events will shuffle up and deal on May 25.

At the 2024 SCOOP, "greatness_m" came out on top of the $109 Main Event and banked $241,169, while Paulo "Pauilohpmoreas" Moreas took down the $1,050 Main Event and walked away with $493,965. Mexico's "Fakhish" is the reigning $10,300 Main Event champion having defeated Mark "AceSpades11" Radoja heads-up to scoop an impressive $948,434.

SCOOP League Will Return

After making a hugely successful debut in 2024, the SCOOP League will return for 2025. Members of Team PokerStars will select teammates who will earn points based on their finishing positions in SCOOP events.

Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis' team ran away with proceedings in 2024, topping the table with 15,030 points, some 3,010 more than Benjamin "Spraggy" Spragg's band of merry men. Parker "tonkaaaa" Talbot's team finished third (8,435 points), with Fintan "easywithaces" Hand (6,330) bringing up the rear and winning the wooden spoon.

Veldhuis' league-winning points tally was helped by him selecting Denis "aDrENalin710" Strebkov, who won four 2024 SCOOP titles, Jerry "Perrymejsen" Odeen, who won three titles, and high-volume superstar Patrick "pads1161" Leonard, who played in 373 tournaments across the series!

SCOOP Leaderboards Return in 2025

The SCOOP Leaderboards add some excitement to the schedule because they reward the best-performing players. You only need to cash to earn valuable points, and a min-cash can make all the difference.

The aforementioned Strebkov min-cashed four times on the final night of the 2024 SCOOP, which proved enough to oust his fellow countryman and serial crusher "FAL1st" by a mere five points. Those five points netted Strebkov $25,000 and the title of 2024 SCOOP Overall Player of the Year.

As with other editions of SCOOP, we should see a Low, Medium, High, and Overall Leaderboard for players to climb. All the usual suspects will be grinding like their lives depend on it as they attempt to snag some additional value and kudos from their peers.
