Share on Twitter Share on Facebook 4 min readYou're holding the ace-high flush on a non-paired board, pretty much a dream spot in poker, right? Not quite for Corey Eyring.
The poker vlogger found himself in a nightmare scenario during Sunday’s $50/$100 cash game at The Lodge Card Club in Texas, where his entire net worth was suddenly on the line.
The problem? The board showed four to a straight flush. Did the YouTuber make the right call? Or did his stack go up in flames once again?

In the first notable pot Eyring played, he made it $500 over an under the gun limp with 6♦4♦. Poker at the Lodge regular Taras had 8♠8♥and three-bet to $1,500. ZeFish came along with A♦2♦from the big blind. 3 Coin, who had limped in with J♥4♥called. Eyring, sensing weakness, four-bet to $7,500. Taras and 3 Coin called.

Taras' pair of eights remained best on the K♣10♣5♥flop, and showed no fear as he called Eyring's $7,000 continuation bet. 3 Coin ditched his jack-high into the muck.
The 10♦came on the turn, still keeping Taras ahead, and both players checked. The 7♠completed the board, and Eyring risked the $20,450 he had behind, bluff-jamming with six-high.
Taras, considered as one of the more stickier players at the table, thought for a few moments before calling to win the $79,050 pot.
Eyring looked crushed and defeated, but hopped back onto the saddle, reloading for another $55,000.
Poker Vlogger “In the F***ing Hole” in Quest for $1,000,000
Heading into the viral poker hand, Eyring was down just $5,300, not too big of a loss in a game this size.
3 Coin opened the action from under the gun, making it $1,000. Eyring looked down at A♥10♦from the next seat over and three-bet to $3,000. The action folded back to businessman, and he called to see the 9♥8♥7♥flop.
Eyring had the ace-high flush draw to go along with his open-ended straight draw. 3 Coin was just live to the jack-high straight.
3 Coin bet $2,000 and Eyring called before the 3♠turn checked through to the 10♥river, giving Eyring the best hand. But just because the poker vlogger had the checkmark, it didn't guarantee he would scoop in the pot, and 3 Coin wasn't going to back down.
With $10,250 in the pot, the action player put in the 8x pot-bet shove with his airball and the pain that appeared on Eyring's face was immediate.
Eyring had $84,700 behind, and flashed his opponent his ace of hearts.
"What the f*** is that bet?" he asked as the table watched on in hysterics.
"I really didn't make this clear before the game," he added. "But I am sitting with my whole net worth right now, technically speaking, which I didn't announce to the table for the obvious reasons."
"So this makes that spot a little more interesting...it's a pretty interesting spot."
After several apologies and spending more than ten minutes in the blender, Eyring still agonizing, came to his final conclusion.
"This is binding. I'd like to randomly select a card. If I pull the ace of hearts, I call, If I pull the ten of diamonds, I fold."
In the end, it wasn't even Eyring who was given the task of choosing one of the cards. Poker vlogger Mariano Balfagon took that responsibility after offering his services.
After a having a shuffle of Eyring's hole cards, he flipped over the A♥, meaning Eyring had called for his entire stack.
"Good hand," 3Coin told Eyring, as he sent his J♠5♠into the muck. And with that, Eyring dragged in the $180K worth of chips, and was finally on the right side of the biggest pot of his life.

After Eyring scooped in the pot, he would drop a fair chunk of profits back to the table but still ended up winning more than $25,000.
Mariano was the big winner overall, banking over $200,000 in cumulative winnings. Zefish and Doc Hollywood also ended well in the green, while Crypto Max, 3 Coin, and Doug Polk found themselves deep in the red. Polk’s losses were the heaviest, finishing more than a quarter-million dollars down on the stream.
