A typical 52-card deck is used to play Rummy Nobal, & two to six players can participate. Forming valid sets and runs—card combinations that satisfy predetermined requirements—is the goal. A run is made uppatti rummy of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit, whereas a set is made up of three or four cards of the same rank but different suits. Players alternately draw & discard cards in an effort to combine their hands into combinations that are valid before their rivals do. According to the established rules, each player is dealt a certain number of cards at the beginning of the game, usually seven or ten.
