Kristen Foxen took down PokerGO Cup Event #7:$15,100 No-Limit Hold'em for $348,300 on Wednesday. In doing so, she moved into first place on the 2025 PokerGO Tour leaderboard.
The Canadian high roller defeated a field of 86 entrants to claim the largest chunk of the $1,290,000 prize pool. She overcame the smallest stack at the start of the final table, and eventually beat Patrick Leonard heads-up for the title.
From Short Stack to Champion

Day 1 concluded with Erik Seidel, an 11-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner, in the chip lead over Leonard, an online poker crusher. Foxen didn't get off to a strong start at the final table. In fact, she lost about one-third of her starting stack through the first couple of rounds.
But Eric Wasserson dropped to the smallest stack and lost his final couple of big blinds to Farid Jattin, who had taken over the chip lead. Wasserson was out in seventh place for $51,600.
2025 PokerGO Cup Event #7 Final Table Results
Place | Player | Prize |
---|---|---|
1 | Kristen Foxen | $348,300 |
2 | Patrick Leonard | $225,750 |
3 | Farid Jattin | $161,250 |
4 | Erik Seidel | $116,100 |
5 | Sergio Aido | $90,300 |
6 | David Peters | $64,500 |
7 | Eric Wasserson | $51,600 |
Foxen's move up the chip counts started with a double-up with AxKxagainst Leonard's AxQx. Sergio Aido, who won Event #5, then took a chunk of Seidel's stack with 9x6xdoubling against Kx3x. But after David Peters went out in sixth place ($64,500), Aido was next out the door in fifth place ($90,300) when Foxen's superior ace held up.
Seidel then lost another all in preflop hand when he was out in front, this time with QxQxagainst Jattin's AxJxafter an Axlanded on the flop. That sent the Poker Hall of Famer home in fourth place for $116,100.
Foxen had taken over the final table at that point and had built a massive chip lead over Jattin and Leonard. But Leonard would double through the chip leader to get back into contention. Jattin then moved all in with KxQxonly to run into Foxen's AxQx, and the best hand held through the flop, turn, and river.
Jattin's elimination in third place paid $161,250. Heads-up play began with Foxen holding a 4-1 chip advantage. There would be no comeback. On the final hand, Leonard got it all-in with A♠9♠against K♠J♥, but the board ran out 10♥4♠4♣Q♦J♦to end the tournament. Foxen received $348,300, while the runner-up earned $225,750.
The victory was Foxen's second of the year on the PokerGO Tour. She took down the $10,100 buy-in PokerGO Tour Kickoff Series finale in January for $197,625.
The champ earned her third cash in seven events during the PokerGO Cup. She also moved into first place early in the year on the PokerGO Tour leaderboard, just ahead of Joey Weissman, who has a slight lead over Eric Blair for the PokerGO Cup overall crown.
The series will wrap on Thursday with the conclusion of Event #8: $25,200 No-Limit Hold'em, which began on Wednesday.
