Each player is dealt a hand of cards at the beginning of the game, and the draw pile is made up of the remaining cards that are laid face down on the table. The discard pile is then formed by placing thrummy.golde top card of the draw pile face up next to it. Players may choose to take the top card from the discard pile or draw a card from the draw pile during their turn. Participants are required to discard a card from their hand onto the discard pile after drawing a card. Forming sets of three or four cards of the same rank or runs of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit is the aim of the game.
